Why am I an Artist?
All I knew and truly loved as a child were cartoons and animated films. The flat characters coming to life on the television screen was what I looked forward to; they offered me an escape from the harsh reality and confines of the real world. This exposure to 2D animated shows has shaped the career path I never thought I would find myself on. I was first introduced to hands-on animation in my ninth grade year of high school. Since then, I could not see myself as being anywhere else but in the animation world. Now, as an aspiring animating artist, I create an illusion of movement that strongly relies on emotion, meaning, timing, and gesture in hopes of producing something unique that will bring joy and amusement to the world.
